News Flash(points)

News Flash))) DEI is IED spelled backwards.  Caution: Do Not Touch.  It will go - Boom!  And, the blast radius of Ineptitude is always huge.

News Flash))) The Federal Government has new hours. It will now be open for business whenever the Democrats say it's OK.

News Flash))) This just in from the Senate: Senate Republican Leadership illogically continues to refuse the nuclear option in order to pass that all-important "Save America Act." Typically when things are not working logically, a hidden agenda is indicated.  What's not clear in this case is whether the "wonky" involves bribery, blackmail, or extortion by the Dems or the Majority Leader has a secret loyalty to the old guard "swampers."  In any case, the Republicans once again find themselves in need of a good podiatrist.  And there's a rumor that the good people of South Dakota have already placed an order for some new rope.

News Flash)))
This Just Breaking: The Dems in Congress have now promised Republicans, "If you like your majority, you can keep it (just continue to include our fraudulent billions in your appropriations)."

News Flash))) Columbia University's Sociology Department has conclusively determined that the adherents of Thomas Jefferson and Karl Marx can, indeed, live side-by-side peacefully for precisely 0.68 nano-seconds.  But, beyond that time span, the sociologist predict that such a society would become entirely unstable and eventually necessarily explode like a social supernova.

News Flash))) Prominent Democrats and Republican are now enjoined in a study group to decide the feasibility of exchanging their respective Donkey and Elephant symbols for a single common symbol to represent their shared role in American society.  They are considering the ancient Chinese, Yin-Yang Taijitu,  which they believe might be a better graphic representation of two political parties simultaneously chasing their tails in a tight circle.

News Flash))) On a recent episode of The View, the ladies were mercilessly grilling a conservative guest senator.  Suddenly the senator raised his voice and said, "OK, then answer me this. 'What is the difference between the beginning stage of an ugly national insurrection and what is going on in the streets of our deep blue states right now?'"  The ladies were stunned to silence for a few awkward seconds until one finally said, "So, what is the difference?"  The senator then said in a lowered and forlorn voice, "Sadly ladies - as it turns out, it's a trick question."

Trump's Gift - Trump's Grit

At the risk of overstating the already self-evident - on the Character Chart, today’s America, as a whole, is a long way down the rankings from yesterday’s America.  The far too common character failings of contemporary American generations are at least three.  They are these:  Our easy comfort with the status quo, Our penchant for resorting to the normalcy bias, Our discomfort with decisive individualism.

These are failings we see wonderfully and entirely missing in President Trump’s character.  Rather, in him, these flaws are replaced by their absolute opposite realities.

This truly admirable man seems to spend every waking hour involved in a highly energized offensive against the status quo.  Apparently, it is just not in him to “settle.”  Always, it seems his mind and heart are ever gravitating toward the better idea, toward improvements, and toward the best possible way – even when it might seem impossible at first glance.

President Trump is the epitome of a man who has very courageously climbed out of that “life-box of the small paradigm.”  This is that shortsighted view of life which does give us some sense of security and simplicity, but it also often defeats our capacity for greater aspirations.  But this President seems fearlessly willing to brave the greater exposure of a life lived outside the box in order to experience the greater blessing of consummate achievement.

And obviously, such a man could also never be comfortable with the cop out belief that the threat of evil or wrong doing can just be momentarily ignored in the interest of this convenient delusion, “Hey, it’ll probably be OK.”  Certainly, such a default bias seems completely "undiscoverable" anywhere in the Trump thought processes or actions.

On the other hand, the confidence to make courageous, stand-alone decisions that vastly change things for the better have actually distinguished his mind and heart on most every day of his presidency.  He astounds both friends and foes with his quick willingness to just do the right thing, even if the rest of the world is still trying to figure out what that right thing is.

Truly, if ever there was a God-fashioned leader, Donald Trump is one of those for America – and maybe even chiefly so among our other candidates.  Indeed, both of his presidential terms have been a hugely redemptive blessing to this country.  And, both have clearly demonstrated these admirable character traits which allow him to lead so successfully against even monstrous opposition.

President Trump is a true national treasure whose actions bless America every day.  But his greatest gift to his country actually eclipses the good things that he does daily.  His greatest gift to his country is his character example. He has unwittingly shown us what has come to be widely missing from our own.  And, he has clearly demonstrated the wondrous benefits which can accrue by broadly adding back these noticeably missing qualities to American’s composite, rank and file heart.
